Quick & Easy Installation & Registering
How To Install & Register
Your DAK Wave & MP3 Editor.
I've put this small section on installing the editor as not everyone is used to downloading and installing programs. It's the way the Internet works these days so better to learn about it here then out the in the cold cruel world.

For downloading, I've got a whole tutorial to show you how to download. Like I said, just about any program you want to buy today is downloaded, so why don't you check out my how to download tutorial for later.

The main thing is that at DAK you get free extra downloads no problem, but most companies don't do that so I show you how to download and make your own backup disc.

How To Install The DAK Wave Editor.
The Icon on the left is what you download from the DAK site It's silver and it looks like a sale. It will say DAK_ and then the version number. But whatever number, it's the install icon for the editor.

You use this one time only to install the program. After you run the installation program, you don't use it again. From then on, use the Green Wavy Icon on the right to launch and run the Wave Editor.

Program Alerts - No Problem.
New Alerts can scare you. But as long as you know that you are downloading from the DAK site, you are safe. Don't download from any site you don't know.

But DAK's been around for years and we carefully test our programs. Unfortunately because our ebooks actually use the IE Explorer Engine, they can't be codesigned, but they are 100% safe to use. That's why you will see the alert above. Using the eBooks doesn't put you on the Internet, but does use use the IE engine that's on your computer

Always verify before you download anything that it's coming from a site you know, in this case, www.DAK.com.

OK back to the arrows above.

Arrow 1.) Just check the name of the program you are running.

Arrow 2.) Uncheck this box so you won't see this alert for THIS PROGAM ONLY from now on.

Arrow 3.) Click on the Run Button to run the ebook or program.

How To Register The DAK Wave Editor
This is the screen you'll see when you first launch the DAK Wave Editor. You'll get a code from us in about 5 days.

THERE ARE NO LIMITS ON USING THE EDITOR FOR 10 DAYs, so don't worry, you aren't restricted in any way.

Arrow 1.) Click the Use DAK Editor to open and use the editor.

Arrow 2.) Click Register- Enter Key-Code when you get your code to put it in.

How To Put In Your Unlock Code.
Copy and paste your code into the box.

WHY COPY AND PASTE? You can type in the code, but there's no way to tell if your code has 0s or Os or 1s or ls, That's why I really hope you'll copy and paste in the code we send.

Arrow 1.) Paste the code here.

Arrow 2.) Click OK and the box should close and the editor should open. If it doesn't then the code isn't correct. Please see below.

NOTE: We create a code using your name and the program code. It really can't be wrong. Please see below to see how to make the code work.

What If The Unlock Code Doesn't Work?
When you copy and paste in Windows, a strange thing can happen. Even though you didn't do it, the act of copying and pasting can cause a blank space to be placed before or after the code you paste.

I've put arrows where the spaces can appear.

If there are spaces the code won't work. So you just need to delete the space(s) and then the code will work.

Here's how to eliminate the blank spaces.

Paste the code into the box as you see above.

Put your cursor in the box.

Use your arrow keys <> to go all the way to the left side of the box and to the right side of the box. At each end if you find a space, delete it.

Then Click the OK button.

Oh, And A Quick Tip for How To Copy And Paste.

Don't ever type Serial numbers and UnLock Codes if you can avoid it for any program that you buy. So often they have to be exact and that makes life really difficult.

This is a way to copy and paste just about anything, anytime in Windows. This isn't just for DAK. This is something you'll want to know and to use often. Of course it's great for you to use for your DAK serial numbers and UnLock codes, but you'll use this all the time.

How To Copy And Paste From Your Keyboard.

It's easy.

First Highlight whatever you want to Copy. If it's several words. Hold down your left mouse button and drag across the words you want to copy. You'll see it turn blue as you drag over it. Then release the mouse button. Whatever you want to copy should be highlighted.

If it's just a single word or line of characters with No Spaces, you can just double click within the word or code and it and it should become highlighted.

OK now that it's highlighted, Hold Down The Control Key, Arrow 1 (it's the bottom left key on your keyboard) and Touch The C Key, Arrow 2.
That's all you have to do to copy anything to your Windows Clipboard.

YOU WON'T SEE ANYTHING, but your computer will know that you put whatever was highlighted into memory. AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP HOLDING THE CONTROL KEY.

NEXT, use your mouse to put your cursor in the box in our program that you want to paste the code into.

Hold Down the Control Key AGAIN, (Arrow 1) (You don't have to have kept holding it all this time) and now Touch the V Key (Arrow 3). And you'll see whatever you had in memory will be pasted into the box.

That's it. Now your an expert at copying and pasting anything in Windows.

One More Way To Copy And Paste

Here's how to copy and paste with your mouse.

Arrow 1.) Highlight anything, in this case I'm showing you My Unlock Code is highlighted.

Arrow 2.) Put your mouse over the highlighted area, and Right Click. You'll get the menu you see above. It may be longer, but this is the part you care about.

Arrow 3.) Just Move your mouse to Copy and Left Click. That puts it on your clipboard again.

Arrow 4.) Then put your cursor into the box you want to paste into and then Right Click again.

Arrow 5.) Move down to the Paste area (which will not be grayed out when you have something in memory) and Left Click it.

Either Way, you'll successfully Paste your name into the Registration Sections and you'll be ready to start making your recordings.

I hope this section has helped you with all your Windows Copying And Pasting.
