Add
Everything you really need to copy your
LPs, 45s, 78s and tapes in included in the system. But, if you don't want to move
your turntable or you don't have room by your PC for your turntable or ours, here's
a cable you can add so you don't have to move anything. |
|
Here's all you do. You
get a 50' cable with male RCA Plugs at each end. If you are coming from a tape
deck or a tape out on your preamp or receiver, just plug one end of this cable
into the output RCA jacks of your tape deck or receiver. Plug the other end into
the inputs of DAK PC Interface Mixer.
For a turntable, plug it directly into DAK's Interface mixer. You don't want to
extend the wires from the turntable or you'll get hum. Then plug the 50' cable
into the Mixer's output jacks. finally use the 2 RCA to RCA barrel connectors
to connect our special PC Computer cable to the 50' cable and plug the other end
directly into your PC's LINE IN jacks. That's it, you're all set. |

Normally, you'll just use the default
settings. You'll be amazed at how completely the clicks, scratches, crackle and
hiss are removed.
But we've just added presets so, for example if you recorded an LP onto a cassette
and now you are converting the cassette to digital, the algorithms in the program
will remove the clicks and scratches from the original record and then remove
the hiss from the cassette.
Above, you'll see that we even compensate for copying a monaural record with a
stereo cartridge. We extract the virtual center channel for the best sound ever.

I don’t think you should buy a USB turntable. You decide if you agree. I
think you'll find it much easier to use my complete audiophile LP to CD &

Not USB 1.) Your Computer already has a great sound
card. Why pay for a second sound card WHICH MAY NOT BE AS GOOD plus lose your

Unfortunately when you plug in a USB turntable, you deactivate
the sound card in your PC and you lose your system sounds from startup to incoming
email alerts unless you unplug the USB turntable each time or do a software trick.
Often your computer's sound card which the USB turntable deactivates costs $100
or more. So why buy a USB turntable for $120-$200? How much is left for the quality
of the turntable, cartridge, phono preamp, and recording programs? Heck, if you're
like me, you used to pay more for a cartridge than the whole USB turntable costs.
So, how good can the sound of your music be that you're going to be listening

"I have been a hard-head all
my 70+ years of life, only referring to instruction manuals as a last resort.
Therefore, it took me almost 20 minutes to install the software, set up the pre-amp
and make my first recording - from an old 1960's LP that had been played a zillion
times. The recording came out fine, then I used the depopper and zapped all the
hiss, rumble and noise out of it before separating it into tracks. After I separated
the tracks, I minimized the leading and exit times, then burned it onto a CD.
The CD sounded even better than the original recording (cleaner, crisper, etc.).
I think my purchase was the best investment I've EVER made! Thanks for an excellent
product. I hope I never need technical assistance, but I'm sure it will be there

I tried a similar preamp from "Terratec". I was not impressed with it's
Quality and cheap plastic case. I may have even payed more then I did for the
2800.
Just like to let you know that your products and support are top notch. I have
dealt with many software and hardware manf. since the dawn of the PC and you folks
really stand out as true professionals. Not only is your DAK 2800 PC an excellent
product but your phone and email support is the best. I had no waiting time when
I called about a key code I needed and also received immediate response to the
DePopper upgrade that I required.
As for DAK Wave editor Pro I found it did a fantastic job converting 81 cassettes
I wanted digitized. I still need to split out the individual cuts . I guess that
is what Song Stalker does. I'm still learning to use all the tools that this program
has. Your tutorials are very easy to use and understand. I'm doing some vinyl
now and found that Depopper does an excellent job as well. I still would like
to enhance my audio recordings and believe this software will be able to do that.

Eighteen and just getting into vinyls. The product is
great. At first I had some issues setting up the turntable and mixer, but DAK's
directions knew exactly what I needed to know.
The turntable wouldn't spin and the directions that cam with it were incomplete.
DAK's e book had info on the turntable that the turntable manufacture did not
give. With out it I'd never known how to set it up.
The programs were easy to figure out.
The best part is I use my computer to listen to vinyls and record them for mp3s
for my i pod. The sound of a vinyl can not be replaced with digital and I love
it. The interactivity gives me more to do then just listening to mp3s. I have
something to hold.

I didn't actually get to use the program until yesterday and I'm upset that I
